What to expect on your first appointment
Dental Health Month
 In observance of dental health month, the Pre-K class at Lyons Primary School were treated to a video presentation of Dudley Goes to Camp Brush and Floss, courtesy of Dr. Hugh Jordan. His staff hygienists, Rhonda Herin and Beverly Chandler and his dental assistant, Amanda O’Dell presented an educational program on good home care and the importance of regular visits to the dentist. Students from each class were actively involved in the demonstration of proper brushing and flossing techniques as well as the application of sealants as effective means of preventing tooth decay. Students were also educated about fluoride treatments and tooth-friendly snacks. Each child was given a goody bag with a new toothbrush, toothpaste, and dental sticker. In addition, four lucky students, drawn at random, were awarded a special door prize, which included a battery operated toothbrush, toothpaste, sugar free gum, and bubbles. Those receiving door prizes were Carlos Cruz, Dewayne Johnson, Amy Mixon, and Stephanie Stephens.
